Photos of Mountain Home Idaho Businesses – Old and New

Mountain Home Idaho Community Thrift Store

Mountain Home Community Thrift Store: It's located at 1685 American Legion Boulevard in the now close Video Gallery building. I haven't been in this new business since it opened about 1 month ago. Don't know what the story is on this thrift store but they seem to being do good if "cars in the parking lot" is any indication.

The Manhattan Cafe in Mountain Home Idaho

Manhattan Cafe: This local cafe is located at 140 E Jackson Street. This is another place I haven't visited yet. I suspect the Manhattan Cafe has had a few different owners since they originally opened in June 2009 as the Manhattan Bistro. Looks like they are "breakfast and lunch" only restaurant.

Devotion Tattoo closes in Mtn Home

Devotion Tattoo: In December 2010, I posted about this "new" business opening in Mountain Home. Well, life doesn't always go according to the business plan and Devotion has closed it's doors. It appears the manager of this "chain hopeful" tattoo and piercing business found greener pastures in Washington State.

Tim, I remember the Manhattan Cafe from 1974. It was run by a chinese guy that used to buy live chickens from where ever he could get them.
Not the most popular place if I remember right.

We have had 120" of snow at Pine so far, 4" Friday night. 1.25" of rain before that really packed the snow down.

Have 4 Elk taken up space about 75' from the house, been fun to watch.

I certainly remember Ken Evans and so does my wife Pam. She worked at the Range Sqd for awhile. Please tell him hi for us.

Have fun with the new camera.

Dave, I had no idea the Manhattan Cafe has been around so long. I thought it opened only a few years ago but that was likely just a new owner taking over the reigns??

Looks like I'll try to get up to Pine next weekend for some snowshoeing. Have any advice on a trail I can try out. One that is scenic but not steep?
