We arrived at the Lions Den at about 5:15PM and found the restaurant uncrowded, clean looking and nicely decorated. There was a rodeo in town on this day so the people already eating were dressed the part. Actually is seemed like just stepped into a time warp back to the “Wild West”. Most the of men and some of women wore cowboy hats and western clothing. Or maybe this is just the normal Dillon Montana dress code?
The Food and Service
The Lions Den is a steakhouse, plain and simple. But they also serve many other items so we decided to try their specialty hamburgers. They were hot, fresh and tasted good and the sides were pretty good too. Overall, the food would have resulted in a 3.5 star rating, but. But the service was just not very good. Maybe the waitress was new? Maybe she was overworked? Who knows, but it was way slow and there weren't a whole lot of customers in the section we were seated in. I personally felt like an outsider crashing a personal party. :-(

In short, if you want good food, the Lions Den restaurant is a place you might want to try if you are ever in Dillon, Montana. Hopefully you'll get better service than we did.
