Picture of the Week – Fourth Week of November 2008
I decided it was time to try a small hike and the Owyhee Mountains was chosen for this mini-adventure. I headed out of Mountain Home knowing Mud Flat Road south of Grand View, Idaho was were I would start my search for a suitable hike. As I drove passed the Poison Creek Road turn off I started looking left and right up into the mountains. I found what looked like a suitable cross country hike up a canyon with lots of rock outcropping. And here is the photo of the week...A place I have named (or renamed) Mini-Monument Valley.

FYI: This land has the look and feel of being private property. There are a few fence lines along the way but all the maps I have consulted indicate this is either BLM Land or State Land.
