Boise River Fishing and Mining in Idaho

As I came around a corner on the Middle Fork Road I was confronted with this view of a pool and a smaller one just upstream.
I knew this big pool wouldn't be a great fishing spot but it's quite scenic isn't it? The place I wanted to fish is on the left side
of this photo. I scrambled down the bank and waded upstream to two different pools. I caught 4 fish within 100 yards of that
big rock you see. My biggest fish was caught right in this area.

I did try a few casts into the pool you see here but the fish were too shy or had moved on because of the mining activity.
I was surprised this equipment was just left there with no one around to watch it but the deer and elk.
With temperatures near 80F I was tempted to go swimming but I didn't.
