Fort Boise? Can they all be Evil?

E-mail Print PDF
They are evil. They are stupid. They are corrupt. They are not worthy. Or is the author blind with abnormal hate?

fort boise website is for the haters

The Fort Boise website is a left leaning personal blog out of Boise, Idaho. The author of this blog spends an inordinate amount of time trying to prove all conservatives and/or Republicans are lower than pond scum. My opinion? Blind with hate and doesn't have an iota of critical thinking ability left in his/her body. Basically Fort Boise is the Rush Limbaugh of the Boise Democratic Party.

Why Do I read the Fort Boise Blog?
I read many political blogs. It's good to see how each issue is handled by people of different (or the same) political persuasions. It's a good learning experience in that I get to see the important issues from all sides. Sides I might not have considered otherwise. But with the Republican Presidential nomination season in full swing, Fort Boise has been getting worse.

Some days I get a laugh out of the author's musings. Other days I get annoyed. But one thing is for sure. The Fort Boise author couldn't find one good thing to say about a Republican. I suspect that if Gandhi, Buddha and Mother Teresa were running for the GOP nomination, they too would be vilified, degraded and dismissed completely.

Give the Fort Boise Blog a Try
I recommend that everyone in the U.S. give Fort Boise a test drive. Read it daily for a week or 2 just to get a feel for the hate and uncommon sense the author spits out. Just like Rush Limbaugh, Fort Boise can change your mind on almost any political issue. I read what Fort Boise “thinks” and know being on the other side it the right thing to do.

Comments?
Let me know what you think about the hater known as Fort Boise. If you think I'm wrong, let me know. I'm reasonable and will listen to your ideas as long as they aren't taken to the extreme.

Thanks,

24% of Idaho Voters Voted for an Unwilling Candidate Mike Crawford

E-mail Print PDF
"I'm frankly not that dissatisfied with Mike Simpson as my congressman. By and large he's done an O.K. Job for this State." - Mike Crawford, 2010 Democratic Candidate for Idaho's 2nd Congressional District

What The Heck Idaho
Can you believe almost 25% of all Idaho 2nd Congressional District voters decided to vote for a man who does not want to be your Congressman. That's right almost 50,000 Idaho voters cast a ballot for Mike Crawford. And of those 50,000 votes almost 1,000 of them came from Elmore County voters. We've all heard of elections where candidates who are currently in jail get elected. Or the election were a dead person won the election. But these elections took place in "other States". This is Idaho for Pete's sake and we're better than this. How does this happen? Why does this happen?

Some Ignorant Idaho Voters

A Quote That Fits This Insane Situation
"you got some 'splainin' to do" Idaho - Ricky Ricardo from the 1960's TV show, I Love Lucy.

Ignorant Idaho Voters? Some, Not All
Look, I get it. Not all 50,000 Idaho votes for Mike Crawford were made out of complete ignorance. Some were likely "protest votes" or votes "to send a message". But my guess is a majority of votes cast for a man who didn't want to be your Congressman came from lazy voters who couldn't be bothered to do some research. Just ask yourself, would you want a unwilling Congressman, your Congressman, voting for things like "Should we go to war with country X?". Do you want this unwilling congressman in Washington voting "Aye" to a 50% tax increase?

What I though was a good quote from George Jean Nathan may need to be modified for this situation.
"Bad officials are elected by good citizens who do not vote [or make uneducated votes]."

Who Mike Crawford?
I don't know Mike but he is from Mountain Home, Idaho so he must be a good guy. In reality, this article has nothing to do with Mike Crawford. The Democratic Party basically talked him into being a "placeholder" for the election. He had no intention of running a campaign or even trying to whip up on Congressman Simpson. What I'm trying to say is I have nothing against this citizen and it turns out he became my "placeholder" for this article. In short, the names WERE NOT changed to protect the innocent.

If you voted for Mike Crawford for the Second Congressional District, leave a comment about why you voted for a man who didn't want nor need this "job". I'm just curious.

Stupid Idea - Excluding Candidate Jana Kemp from the Debate

E-mail Print PDF
City Club of Boise Excluding Jana Kemp from the Debate is stupid

The City Club of Boise has excluded Independent Governor Candidate Jana Kemp from their Gubernatorial Debate being held on September 15, 2010. Why? Was it because she didn't score high enough in some political poll as the organizers suggest? Or was the decision made in a "smoke filled back room" meeting for less than honorable reasons? Who cares why the City Club of Boise made this very stupid decision.

It Can Be Fixed or Is This a Fixed Debate?
With the general election about 80 days away, one would think the City Club of Boise would jump at the chance to INCLUDE all serious candidates in this debate. After all, their motto is "Nothing happens until people start talking". I'm guessing that this motto is suppose to mean, people (candidates are people too) talk, learn from the conversation and then make intelligent decisions. So why can't the City Club do the right thing and invite Jana Kemp to join in this debate? Would it be too difficult to add one more candidate? Or is the political fix already too entrenched in this event?

The people are talking and the candidates want to talk! Now it's up to the City Club of Boise to make sure the right thing happens. Give the people the opportunity to hear Jana Kemp in this debate or become the insignificant organization it sounds like you are trying to become.

Brian Schad 2nd Congressional District Press Release

E-mail Print PDF
Brian Schad, an Independent cadidate for the 2010 general election recently contacted me and asked that I post this press release on the Bondyweb website.  So here it is!

Brian Schad candidate for Idaho Congress
** Press Release **

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Contact: Brian Schad, This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it

Dear Reader,

My name is Brian Schad and I am Idaho's 2nd CD Independent Candidate for this year's general election in November. Like many of you, I have become disillusioned with our federal government, our federal elected leaders, and the unsustainable financial path we are traveling as a country. I have stopped talking politics and began talking about "solutions" last year.

Around that time, I learned how my federal representative - one that I have repeatedly voted for in the past - has broken away from conservative principles and values important to Idaho. Having served our nation's armed forces for 12 years previous, I have made the commitment to once again return to the service of my country with the very same intensity of purpose I put into being a Navy SEAL to protect my country. It is that resolve I'll put into being the peoples' advocate for Idaho's Second Congressional District in the effort to restore our federal government back to "by the people, for the people."

I want all of my Idaho neighbors to know there are three of us in this Congressional race, so instead of voting for the lesser of two evils - as perhaps done in the past- if you like my message, you can now "vote your conscious" in November.
